How Alarms Work

Your Home Alarm consists of a series of devices connected to a control pane, installed in a discrete spot in your home. Devices including the Bell-Box, Motion Sensors and Door Contacts are connected to the Control Panel either wirelessly or wired via alarm cables.

When the Alarm Goes Off...

Audible-Only System If you are away from your home, you are reliant on the responsiveness of a neighbour or passer-by who might call the Police. Monitored System This guarantees a response from an Alarm Receiving Centre, which will monitor your system 24/7 and notify you immediately if your alarm is triggered. You can nominate key holders for the ARC to call. Monitoring is of course optional but can guarantee peace of mind..

Smart Wireless Systems

Traditionally, each sensor in a Wireless Alarm System sends signals to the Control Panel. This runs the risk of missed activations and problems with reliability of there are any issues with the sensor.

In our wireless systems, the signal automatically re-routes via another sensor to ensure signals are consistently received.

Easy to Use

Activating and de-activating the system is simple and is done in various ways. The traditional method is done by entering a code into a keypad, but our alarms can be managed with key tags and fobs, similar to a car.

App Control

Our easy-to-use app offers you remote control of your alarm system, wherever life may take you.

Sirens

The only external components of house alarms are sirens (sometimes called bell boxes) which sound in the event of an alarm's activation. Their presence on the outside of your home is a warning to criminals.

Branded

The presence of the smartSCS logo is another signal to burglars that your home is up to date with high quality security.

LED lights

Alternating lights show that your system is active; they 'strobe' when the alarm system is triggered. SCS offers the option for illumination at night

Keypad

An easy-to-use Keypad sets and switches off the alarm. With a sleek, it does not detract from your home's interiors. Alternatively, you can use proximity tags or keyfobs, which are even simpler to use.

Proximity tags are held to the keypad to set and unset the system; keyfobs can also control a garage door, gates andexternal security lights.

Movement Detectors

Movement detectors are also known and PIRS (Passive Infrared Sensors) and detect movement and body heat. These state-of-the-art devices can be fixed to the corner of rooms where there are potential access points, and if triggered they send a signal to tell the alarm.

Carbon Monoxide andSmoke Detectors

Carbon Monoxide can be a silent killer, detectors feature a built-in audible sounder to indicate the presence of harmful gas, while oursmoke detectors are triggered by the earliest discovery of smoke and changes in heat, that indicate the presence of a fire and can be programmed to link to your alarm.
